The Government is providing $700,000 for extra clinical advisors and dispatch staff for ambulance emergency call centres.
Health Minister Tony Ryall says an independent assessment identified the need for more clinical expertise in the call centres.
He says the extra funding will result in greater patient safety and real-time clinical support for call takers, dispatchers and ambulance personnel.
