A prison guard has admitted smuggling contraband into Auckland Central Remand Prison.
Diaz Harry Minisita, who is 30, has pleaded guilty to two breaches of the Corrections Act at the Auckland District Court.
He provided an inmate with tobacco on two separate occasions last year.
Minisita has also pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm, which was found when police searched his home.
