A Levin man missing in the Tararua Ranges has been found safe and well.
Police sergeant Andy Brooke says he was found in a farmhouse on the eastern side of the ranges.
Police, Search and Rescue, Land Search and Rescue and a helicopter had been searching for the man since he failed to return from a day trip on Sunday.
Sgt Brooke says the 63-year-old went for a tramp on Sledge Track, which starts near Linton, and walked right over the range to the farmhouse on the other side.
