People in Dunedin have the chance to place their gifts under the tallest Christmas tree in the country.
The redwood tree - 37.8 metres, with a base diameter of 6.8 metres - is permanently decorated with 4000 fairy lights.
Standing in the grounds of St Margaret's University College, it is one of about 800 trees on the Notable Tree Register.
