4:45 pm on 24 November 2010

A Christchurch man is being treated for serious injuries in Wellington Hospital after a log truck he was driving rolled 80 metres downhill in the Marlborough Sounds.

The man, 42, was airlifted to hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter at 8.30am.

He is being treated for multiple injuries to his chest, pelvis and leg.

An helicopter crew crewman says there was speculation that sun-strike may have been the cause of the accident.
