The latest Harry Potter movie is now screening in New Zealand cinemas.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part One, is the penultimate movie adaptation of the series by JK Rowling.
The first screenings began at midnight on Wednesday night.
Dedicated Potter fan Sarah Keast was at one of them and told Morning Report the theatre was almost full.
The first six Harry Potter movies have earned $US5.42 billion to date at the box office.
