A cyclist is dead after being hit by a truck in Auckland on Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred on Tamaki Drive between Kitemoana and Atkin Roads about 6pm.
The road was closed for a time but has since reopened.
The cycling death is the fourth in a week and brings the total for the year to nine.
