The search for a diver missing of the coast of Raglan has been suspended.
John Lindsay, of Te Awamutu, went missing while diving with his father and friends on Sunday.
Search coordinator Sergeant Warren Shaw says despite the best efforts of the team, the 36-yeaer-old has not been found.
Mr Shaw cautioned against any unofficial search for Mr Lindsay, saying the depths involved means divers could quickly get into difficulties which would require others putting themselves at risk.
The matter is now with the coronor, he says.
