Police say the parents of a two-year-old girl who was found standing alone outside a fast-food chain in South Auckland more than two days ago have come forward.
Officers discovered the girl wearing a nappy and singlet at McDonald's in Otara about midday on Saturday.
She was taken into the care of Child, Youth and Family.
Police say her parents were found on Monday evening and are speaking with Counties-Manukau police.
