Police in Waikato are investigating the death of a Matamata man.
Emergency services were called to the man's house at 6.30pm on Saturday after he collapsed and injured his head.
Police say he had been drinking heavily since Friday and there were reports that he and another man were arguing shortly before he collapsed.
A post mortem will be held on Monday.
