A man has been charged with murder following the death of his flatmate in Auckland over the weekend.
The 30-year-old victim was found dead at The Quadrant apartmtent complex in the central city on Monday morning.
Mohammad Hamid-Zadeh, 31, appeared in the Auckland District Court on Tuesday and did not enter a plea.
The Iranian national had assistance from a Persian interpreter during the court proceedings.
He did not apply for bail and has been remanded in custody to appear again in November.
