One person has died and two others were injured in a head-on crash near Taumarunui.
The crash between a car and a ute on River Road, north of the town left a passenger from the car dead at the scene at 10.05pm on Saturday.
The teenage driver of the car has a broken leg.
The driver of the ute was unharmed, but a female passenger was taken to Waikato hospital abdominal injuries.
