3:27 pm on 7 October 2010

Police investigating the killing of a South African woman in Auckland say a post mortem on her body has been completed.

Carmen Thomas, 32, was last seen on 27 June this year.

Police believe she was dismembered before being buried in a crude grave in the Waitakere Ranges.

They are not discussing the results of the post mortem and say it will be up to the coronor to decide the cause of her death.

Ms Thomas' former partner, Bradford Callaghan, has been charged with her murder. He is due to appear in the Auckland District Court on 12 November.
