Rule changes aim for increase in juror attendance

Justice Minister Simon Power says making the system more flexible is expected to improve overall juror attendance.

In 2009, about 62% of the more than 321,000 people summoned for jury service were excused, and a further 21% failed to attend.

Mr Power says he's also considering whether jurors' addresses need to be included on juror lists.
