World Cup victory hailed by former skipper

Three time Women's Rugby World Cup winner Farah Palmer has congratulated the Black Ferns for making it Cup number four.

Since retiring from the team, she has been busy lecturing at Massey University, serving as an independent director of the Maori Rugby Board, and having a baby.

Ms Palmer told Waatea News that the 13-10 win by the Ferns over England on Sunday had all the drama one expects from a cup final.

She also said it was exciting to have fellow Tainui player Carla Hohepa, from Te Awamutu, named as the player of the tournament.
