15 managers but no CEO yet for new transport agency

Fifteen senior managers have been appointed to head Auckland's new regional transport agency but a chief executive has yet to be found.

Auckland Transport will be owned by the region's super-city council and from November will be responsible not only for public transport but also for the local roading network.

All but two of the agency's senior managers are from within Auckland's existing local government circle.

The Auckland Transition Agency, which is setting up the new regional local government structure, can't say when a chief executive will be appointed.
