A two-year-old girl found on a west Auckland street shortly shortly after midnight on Saturday has been reunited with her parents.
Police say they found the child standing in the street in a pink nightie in the suburb of Massey, crying and distressed.
The girl's mother was away, police say, and it appears the toddler went looking for her and wandered out the front door.
They say the two-year-old's parents plan to install some higher locks in the house.
