Police have charged a 24-year-old Auckland woman with murder following the death of a 53-year-old woman in Remuera two weeks ago.
The older woman died on Friday 26 March after being stabbed in the chest in what the police say was a domestic incident late last month.
Both the dead woman and her relationship to the accused, who was initially charged with assault and remanded in custody, are suppressed by a court order.
The accused is due to reappear in the Auckland District Court on Monday.
