The Civil Aviation Authority is investigating a microlight plane crash north of Auckland on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Silverdale shortly after 2pm after the plane crashed on landing.
The 64-year-old pilot was uninjured but the plane was badly damaged.
