Two people have been injured in a helicopter crash at the Ardmore airfield, south of Auckland.
The aircraft is thought to have suffered substantial damage in the crash, which occurred at about 10am on Thursday.
The ambulance service says the two people on board were very lucky to have escaped with moderate injuries.
Civil Aviation Authority staff have been called to the site.
