A man will appear in the Gisborne District Court on Friday following an armed robbery in Wairoa.
Police say yesterday afternoon a man walked into a dairy and demanded money.
The owner told them he brandished a firearm and left with $190 in cash.
The Armed Offenders squad from Gisborne travelled to Wairoa, and surrounded a house where they believed the suspect was.
A man, 25, was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.
