A woman whose body was discovered in a stream in Hamilton, but was not identified for four days, has been named.
Joan Pani Hiwinui, 40, was identified on Thursday by relatives who contacted police when they became concerned that they had not heard from her for several days.
She apparently lost control and came off her bicycle on a steep track in Edgecumbe Park in Whitiora where her body was found on Sunday.
Police say the case has been reported to the coroner.
