The Fire Service says a large scrub fire in the Northland resort town of Taipa is under control.
Staff from a nearby holiday camp say the blaze broke out in a grass paddock on Tuesday before spreading to pine trees, and at one point was only separated from a house by a driveway.
The Fire Service says it was called to the fire in Ngatikahu Road at 4.30pm.
