The police say a fire at a residential care home in Wellington where a body was found on Friday morning was accidental.
The Fire Service located the body of a 42 year old man at the home in Newtown just before 9am.
Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Borrell says the fire started in a bedroom, but was contained quickly by firefighters before it could spread.
He says residents should be able to return to the home on Friday evening.
A post mortem examination will be performed on Saturday.
In August, a 37 year old man died in the same building on Mansfield Street after an assault.
