A 62-year-old cyclist is in a critical condition after being struck by a ute in west Auckland.
The police in Helensville are appealing for any information about the hit- and-run, which happened at 9.29 on Wednesday morning as the man cycled south along Peak Rd, Helensville, towards Kumeu.
A police spokesperson says the man was was hit by a white or cream 1980s-style Toyota utility vehicle.
