A dog which attacked a boy in Wanganui has been impounded.
Brendon Rei, aged seven years, received a puncture wound to the lip in an incident on Tregenna street on Tuesday.
The Staffordshire bull terrier cross was identified by the boy to animal control oficers who captured the animal.
Wanganui District Council is to seek an order for the destruction of the animal.
