Three men having a barbecue at their south Auckland home are in Middlemore hospital after a fight with party-goers at a neighbouring property.
None of their injuries are thought to be life-threatening.
The incident happened shortly before 2am on Thursday in Station Road, Takanini.
Police say it's unclear yet whether weapons were involved in the incident, which they think may involve gang members.
They describe it as a serious incident. The scene is under guard.
