An elderly woman who was found on the southern motorway in Auckland has been reunited with her family.
The woman, 81, was running along the motorway at 6pm on Tuesday after entering from the Princes Street Otahuhu on-ramp.
She speaks no English, but was able to tell police that she arrived in New Zealand about one month ago. She gave the names Tesa and Maliu.
The woman was taken to Middlemore hospital until her family made contact with police several hours later.
