A Tokoroa woman has been charged with attempted murder and arson following two suspicious fires on Thursday.
Police say the fires were lit deliberately at a Kiwi Street house early in the morning.
Detective Sergeant Kevan Verry says the occupants of the house were woken by their dog.
A woman, 42, will appear in the Tokoroa District Court on Friday.
