Man arrested after multiple injuries at Invercargill property

An 18-year-old man has been arrested after several people were injured at an Invercargill area property Friday night.

One person was transported to hospital in critical condition and two others sustained non-life-threatening injuries after the incident at a property on Steel Road, Lorneville, just north of Invercargill.

The Stuff website reported the injuries were from alleged stabbings.

Police said the parties involved are understood to be known to each other.

The 18-year-old has been charged with wounding with intent to commit grievous bodily harm and will appear in court on Monday.
