Bar, beauty salon among new locations of interest reported today

A beauty salon and a bar are among new locations of interest reported today in Rotorua, Mount Maunganui and Kerikeri.

Four new locations were added to the Ministry of Health's website today.

In Rotorua, Jaid Beauty Salon was listed as having been visited by a positive case on 16 November, between 4.15pm and 6pm.

Those who were present at this time are asked to self isolate, test immediately and on day five following exposure.

Four Square Kouto in Rotorua was also listed, with an exposure event occurring on 19 November, between 1.30pm and 2.45pm. Advice for this location is to self-monitor for Covid-19 symptoms for 14 days and to get tested if any develop.

Mount Mellick Bar in Mount Maunganui was listed as an exposure event on 12 November from 9.45pm to 11.59pm and on 13 November from 12am to 1.30am.

Advice for this location was also to self isolate, test immediately and on day five following exposure.

In Kerikeri, a branch of Subway was reported as being visited by a person with Covid-19 on 12 November, between 12pm and 1pm, with those present asked to monitor for symptoms for 14 days.

Later in the afternoon, further loactions were added.

They included a SuperValue in Te Kuiti on 14 and 15 November, Tauranga Hospital on 14 and 18 November, the Coffee Club in Mt Maunganui on 18 November, and other locations in the same towns, as well as Hamilton and Kaikohe.

Today there were 149 new community cases of Covid-19 reported in New Zealand, with 140 in Auckland, six in Waikato, three in Northland, two in the Bay of Plenty and one in Canterbury.

A positive case was also reported in Hawke's Bay, from a person who had travelled to the area from Auckland with a travel exemption. This case was included in case numbers previously announced, as they were tested in Auckland before travelling out.
