Two helicopters are searching a rivermouth near Gisborne for a person whose boat capsized earlier this evening.

Emergency services were alerted at 5pm to reports a boat had overturned at the mouth of the Tikitiki River.
Police and other emergency services are at the scene.
Police say two people were in the boat at the time of the incident.
One person made it to shore to raise the alarm and a search is ongoing to try and find the second person.
