Mighty River Power has cut another eight turbines from a proposed new wind farm near Palmerson North.
The company originally applied to build up to 121 turbines on the city council owned-Turitea reserve, but removed nine turbines from the design last year.
Mighty River has now issued details of a fully redesigned project in which another nine have been removed and the location of another 44 has been shifted.
A a further round of hearings on the proposal next month will be held by a board of inquiry appointed by the Government.
