A 41-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man died in Four Elms Place in Parklands today.

The man has been arrested and will appear in Christchurch District Court tomorrow, 31 July.
Police said they were not seeking anyone else in relation to this matter, but would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.

Earlier today police launched a homicide investigation.
The man died at the scene after he was reportedly struck by a car just after 8.30am. The vehicle then left the area.
