Police in New Plymouth say fears are growing for the safety of an engineer who has been missing for almost two weeks.
Xizhong Zhu, 49, known as Mark, an engineer for a New Plymouth oil company, was reported missing after he failed to turn up to work after the Queen's Birthday weekend.
Detective Sergeant Greg Gray says Mr Zhu's bank accounts, credit cards and cellphone have not been used, and his red Subaru Impreza hatchback is missing.
Mr Gray says concern for Mr Zhu is mounting, and police would like to hear from anyone with any information about him.
