A man has died after an accident at a shingle sorting plant near Blenheim.
Police say they are working with the Department of Labour to investigate the death at Powell Contractors in Renwick on Wednesday afternoon.
They say the middle-aged man was from Blenheim, but won't release his identity until they have informed his family of his death.
