Two people have died this afternoon and another two are seriously injured following crashes in Malborough and Auckland.
One person died in a single car crash on State Highway 1 in Marlborough at about 4pm and another died in a crash on State Highway 1 north of Auckland just after 5pm
Two others have serious injuries following the crash near Auckland.
Both roads were closed as police put in diversions.
