A man has been killed by a bull on a North Canterbury property.
The incident happened yesterday, and police were called to the property in Oxford shortly before 4pm.
WorkSafe said it has been notified of the death, and was making inquiries to decide if an investigation is required.
The president of North Canterbury Federated Farmers, Cameron Henderson, who farms in Oxford, said it was a very tragic circumstance.
He said at this stage he knows little about what has happened, but once they learn more Federated Farmers would offer emotional support for the family and then look at what sort of ongoing business support they can provide.
