A 28-year-old woman charged with murdering a teeanger made a brief appearance in court as as people shouted abuse from the public gallery.
The woman, who has name suppression, appeared at the High Court in Auckland today where Justice Moore set a date for her trial in September next year.
Her co-accused, a 24-year-old man, was excused from attending today.
As the woman was led from the dock, abuse was yelled from the public gallery, including one woman who called her a murderer.
The accused woman responded with an expletive.
The body of Demetrius Pairama, 17, was found at an empty Housing New Zealand house in Māngere in July.
Police said a post mortem examination indicated Ms Pairama died the day before her body was found.
They said she was a vulnerable female.
