A New Zealander has been shot and killed by police in Queensland, Australia.
The man, in his 30s, was shot during a domestic call out in Rockhampton on Friday evening and died at the scene.
Queensland police said the matter was under investigation by the Ethical Standards Command on behalf of the State Coroner.
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade said consular assistance was being provided to the family by the New Zealand Consulate-General in Sydney.
A spokesperson said for privacy reasons they can't provide further details.
