A woman has died after a two-car crash in Taranaki this morning.

Police said the crash happened at 6am on Devon Road - State Highway 1 - in Waitara.
The other driver was uninjured.
Diversions are in place northbound on Raleigh Street and southbound on Mamaku Road. Police warn the road will be closed for some time.
