Second man arrested in relation to Invercargill shooting

A second person has been arrested in relation to a shooting in Invercargill last month.

A man, described by the police as a completely innocent party, was shot while out walking on a Saturday morning.

He suffered moderate injuries.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on Monday after a nationwide appeal for information.

A second man, aged 25, has now been arrested.

He appeared in the Invercargill District Court today also charged with one count of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He has been remanded on bail until the end of the month.
