A woman has been arrested in relation to the kidnapping of an 87-year-old Hastings man outside a Countdown supermarket a few weeks ago.

The man was asked for directions and then pushed into the backseat of his car, tied up and driven around cash machines where he was forced to withdraw money.
The 35-year-old woman will appear in the Hastings District Court today charged with aggravated robbery and kidnapping.
