Services on the Johnsonville line were suspended until 7.30am because of a slip in the suburb of Wadestown.

Maintenance crews were assessing the extent of the damage.

Operator Metlink said it had clearance for services to resume.

Earlier, it said Johnsonville tickets would be accepted on all Kāpiti services.
