Te Wananga O Aotearoa says its Asian clientele have warmed to the cultural style of its Auckland campus.
More than 2000 students have taken classes at the campus over the past couple of years and Gwynn Lewis says most of them have been Asian women.
She says they have managed to overcome communication difficulties.
"Our cultures are close together with a lot of similiarities," she told Waatea News.
"Sometimes there are language barriers, but we get through that and everything's fine."
