Linda Sidon, 46, disappeared in June 2009 but she was not reported missing for another 18 months until her New Zealand-based father raised the alarm.

Police initially suspected Ms Sidon had taken her own life because she suffered from several medical conditions including depression, anxiety and anorexia.

Her son, Daniel Heazlewood appeared in the Supreme Court in Brisbane yesterday and also pleaded gulity to interfering with a corpse.

He was first arrested in Brisbane in October 2015, when he was aged 28.

Heazlewood was remanded in custody until he is sentenced next week.
