A female flying instructor and her student have died after a collision involving two light planes during flight training near Feilding on Monday afternoon.
One plane landed safely at Taonui Airfield, but the other crashed in a paddock near Durie Road about 3.30pm.
A male flying student in the plane that landed safely has been treated for minor injuries.
