Charges after dairy owner robbed, attacked with wrench

Four people have been charged with the aggravated robbery of a dairy north of Auckland last night.

Police said three people entered the Kaukapakapa General Store in Kaipara and attacked the owner with a wrench at about 8.20pm.

Police said three people entered the Kaukapakapa General Store in Kaipara and attacked the owner with a wrench at about 8.20pm.

They said they stole cigarettes before getting into a stolen car with a getaway driver.

Road spikes were used to stop the car in the Auckland suburb of Greenlane.

Three men aged 17, 18 and 25 will appear in the North Shore District Court today and a 15 year-old will also appear in the North Shore Youth Court.

The 17-year-old has also been charged with unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and failing to stop for police.
