A person has died after a motorcycle crashed on private property in Charleston on the West Coast.

Police said officers were called to a private property near State Highway 6 shortly before 5.30pm.
On the roads, the Christmas holiday road toll remains at four - with fatal crashes in Hawke's Bay, Hanmer Springs, Auckland and Maungatapere.
