Two face court over Pt Chevalier attack

Two people have been charged over a high-profile attack in July that left a woman in Auckland unconscious.

The 55-year-old woman was walking from her Point Chevalier house to her car to buy takeaways fom dinner when she was assaulted.

Her daughter tried to help, but was also attacked.

Police said the victims were severely traumatised by what had happened.

A 17-year-old man has appeared in the Auckland District court on two charges of aggravated robbery and unlawful taking and a 15-year-old will appear in the youth court on the same charges.
